Antique Kashan Rug 10'1'' x 16'0''

This iconic large â€ڑأ„أ؛American-style'' Sarouk from Western Persia show a red field with a centred, but allover, pattern of detached floral sprays detailed in shades of blue. The contrasting navy border shows reversing palmettes against millefleurs sprays. Heavy, leathery texture, cotton foundation. â€ڑأ„أ؛American-style'' Sarouks are probably the most popular of all antique and vintage carpets. Good condition.
