Vintage Varamin Rug 5'0'' x 6'5''

A bold, large-scale diamond lattice of one-way colorful triangles encloses in each cell a highly stylized tree (bush, flower?) with uplifted, oblique triangleآ¬â€  fringed branches (stems?), all on the light, naturally abrashed mocha ground. The old ivory slanted, serrated leaf and Y-shaped flower border has a faintly Caucasian air, but the rug, with its plain flatwoven ends, is probably southwest . Good condition with an almost subdued palette, right in current decorating trends.آ¬â€
