Collaboration with ArtFind x The Salon, Washington, DC

On November 7, 2025, an evening presentation was held in Washington, DC, in collaboration with ArtFind and The Salon. The event brought together vintage textiles, rugs, and a selection of framed works within a residential setting.

The installation was arranged across rooms rather than as a formal exhibition. Textiles, seating, and objects were integrated with works on paper and paintings, allowing the space to be experienced as a continuous environment rather than a series of separate displays.

Guests moved through the space informally, spending time in conversation and close viewing. The scale of the setting allowed for a slower engagement with both material and composition.

ArtFind and Art Co-Labs

The evening also marked the introduction of Art Co-Labs, founded by Rie Huckestein. The initiative was developed as an alternative to the traditional gallery model, with a focus on collaboration between artists, artworks, and the audience.

As noted in the opening remarks, the intent was to create a format that allows for more direct engagement—where collectors, artists, and curators share the same space without formal distance. The approach emphasizes time, conversation, and the experience of living with works, rather than presentation alone.

ArtFind’s program reflects a similar direction. The collection centers on original works shaped by European and American traditions, primarily from the mid-20th century, with select earlier pieces. Across mediums, the emphasis remains on the artist’s direct engagement with material—paper, plate, pigment, and surface.

The collaboration created a setting where textiles and works on paper could be experienced together—not as separate categories, but as part of a shared visual language. The evening remained informal, centered on conversation, observation, and the relationship between objects and space.
